  1. Hi lubber, sounds like you'll be busy for a while! I have to confess I am not building my kit at the moment, due to lack of pictures of this ship, I will want to add some more detail. Secondly I've just also started a larger planked ship build, although I'm getting ichy fingers to build another ship in bottle as I much prefer small scale. ๐Ÿ˜ย

  2. Just found this on a carboot sale, ยฃ3.00!ย

Box sealed with very old dried out sticky tape, so I thought I wonโ€™t damage the box and try to open it, I will wait until I get home and gently cut the tape and open it. So I set off home, excited to see what looks like a great find from 1988, once home I carefully open the box to find everything but.....?..

  3. Bottle painted and acrylic decorators caulking pumped in with a skeleton gun.

i put a length of stiff clear plastic tube on end of the nozzle which allows me to direct the flow straight onto the bottom of the bottle, then whilst still wet I push it down with a slightly wet metal spatula and smear it around a bit to get desired effect. Once it has skinned over I will paint another coat of acrylic paint over the surface toย replicate the surface of the sea before setting theย hull into it while it is still soft. Thatโ€™s the plan for now anyway!๐Ÿค”
