I think you have it right. The technical scale is 1:319. A lot of people round that down because 1:300 is easier to remember. Either works. Technically 1:300 would be 50mm. The difference between 1:319 and 1:300 is almost a meter. I think it's safe to go with either. 15000 ÷ 300=50 50-47=3 3*300=900
Thanks for that! It’s been driving me mad trying to work it out!👍👍

Great work. Those ladders are especially good.
Made from used emery cloth set hard with super glue.

Hi James,
I use one of these for holding small parts. Its basically a pencil with a low tack sticky centre instead of 'lead'. Just sharpen as needed.Costs a couple of Euros.

Cool, that looks like just the thing I need! Thanks.

I really like sloops, there my favourite, good luck with the build, can't wait to see more! 👍

Been having a bit of trouble with small parts being so fiddly, so to make the bulwarks and rails I smeared some pritt stick glue, which is a child friendly water based product, onto some shiny card, then placed all the bulwarks onto it. This enabled me to be able to glue the rails onto them a lot easier. Wait until parts have dried then peel off of the card, voila! Just need a final trim before gluing to the Hull. 😁

As I'm quite new to this, so far it's been a steep learning curve. So far, on a previous build I managed to snap a yard in half, then I managed to flip the front mast and ended up with the rigging lines through the bowsprit criss crossed! And had to painfully un thread them in the bottle and then re thread them with a cut down needle in a pair of tweezers as I'd already glued the mast in place! ?
This time on my current build I've just managed to glue the rear mast in place and then snap it off 10 minutes later because I'd drilled a hole but didn't end up using it, and forgot to make good the hole! Luckily the rolled up spanker is now not just for show but now glued to the mast as reinforcing! ? I learn from my mistakes, it's just a shame that each mistake is not the same as the last! They just get bigger and better!

Trying a slightly different technique for the rigging to last time. Rear mast goes in first and gets glue fixed in place with some key anchor points fixed to Hull, then all other rigging is prefixed at key points and fed through front mast then fed through bowsprit last when front mast is dry, glued and cut off, voila, that the plan anyway! Plus side is I only have 4 lines running through the neck. ?

Lateen sails made, to say it was a bit fiddly would be an understatement.
I ended up putting two flats on the yards to enable me to glue them together and stop them rolling apart, then put some cotton binding round with a little dab of superglue, then tacked the sails in place with glue and sewed them on.
