I can't understand that. Big has it's merits but so does small. It's harder to include more detail the smaller it is. As for "romance" any tall ship at sea does it for me. Warship, cargo ship, it doesn't matter, I love it all. Your modeling is outstanding to me. Jesse

Jeff, I have The History of the American Sailing Navy & The History of the American Sailing Ships by Chapelle. I got them years ago when I was single out of a mail order Book catalog. Was getting books about ships to get ideas for scratch builds. I had no idea what gems I was getting! ARUP, I would love to have that Confederate Navy book! Jesse

ryanjd, I use small twist drills in small pin vices. The smaller one is usually what is used for SIBs. I got the drill bits in the blue case on ebay for less than $2 ! Jesse

I use whatever I can find laying around. Most of the time I don't even know what kind of wood it is. I have used pine (which I don't like as well) Basswood because I can get it at Hobby Lobby but all the rest I have no idea what it was. Jesse
