  1. Welcome Bosun Moon. I never thought about an SIB that large but it does sound like something I would like to do. Not sure if there are any bottles made that size or not.

Wow, that looks very nice! Has the look and detail of a much larger model.
  3. I wondered the same thing. Maybe have fishing line tied to it?
  4. Wow, that is some really good miniature fabrication there!
  5. Hello Ian, welcome to the forum! Your plan sounds like a good one. Wonderful to hear that your sons are interested in SIBs. Sometimes it seems like it is a dying craft so it is great to hear that some younger people are learning too. Jesse
  6. Looking so nice, I love this. I collect stamps and this has made me think about along with my 1800s US and Us B.O.B. I would like to have a separate album with boats and ships of sail from all over the world. Jesse

Most people don't know this but the First National had 7 stars for only A few months. AS the other States joined another star was added until there were 13 stars which is the way it was from Dec. 1861 until it was changed to the 2nd National design on May 1st 1863. She would have had the 13 star version until the second was adopted. Here's a link to Wikipedia about it. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flags_of_the_Confederate_States_of_America Jesse
