How do you pour the sea in without getting it on the boat in such tight quarters?

I like the idea, I am a big Star Trek fan. I have wondered about this before but never spoke about it to anyone. I thought I saw a picture of one online one time during one of my endless searches for something and getting sidetracked at other things I see. I sort of skimmed by it because I figured it was photo-shopped or something. I hope you can figure it out because I would love to see this!

Nice work James. Black lines are difficult. I usually use loads of masking tape and black spray paint but it can be a bit hit and miss affair. Some people just use black cotton glued to the hull which is probably a possible solution on a small model.
I would suggest gluing black thread or cut cotton strips. You can get different size threads or if even a larger thread is not wide enough you can cut strips of black paper. There is also modeling pinstripe tape.

I'd like to know that too. In the past I have done a lot of Google searches on Images. The problem is you cant really tell if the sizes are right until you print them and most of the time they aren't.

it will look good no matter which way you go. Most SIBs are done with sails. There is something majestic about seeing a tall ship in full sail, especially in a bottle but it is also nice to see something different from the norm. The choice is yours.

I love how your sea actually looks like water. I'm not sure if we have the same kind of product here in the states - I haven't seen any.
Anybody in the US know where I can get something like Igor uses for his sea?

Kit Review: Shipyard Crafts "Flying Cloud"

This was my first SIB build back in the early 1980s. I had no SIB skills and I call it my Shipwreck-in-a-bottle. I still have it.
