  1. Welcome Rob. Have you tried anything yet? Is the bottle mouth open so you can stick anything in there? I would try a long wire/stick, something with cotton or cloth of some kind attached to the end of it, but very small. Think of the end of a cotton swab. Try dabbing the end with alcohol and try to wipe it clean. If the stain is dried on it might take multiple tries. Just don't have the scrubbing end wet enough that access liquid runs off into the bottle onto the sea and ship. You can try acetone also if the alcohol doesn't work but take the same precautions. Make very sure this can air out really good. You don't want solvent or fumes trapped in there causing more problems later. (Maybe stand the bottle up after making sure it is dry inside so the fumes will evaporate straight up? Maybe some others who know more about this will chime in here) Jesse
  2. Thank you. This wasn't a fine detailed SIB, just a fun simple one. Jesse
  3. I would love to see a video tutorial on how you make your seas. They look so darn good and real! Jesse

    Welcome Norm! Jesse
  5. I'm curious about if the heat affect the sea. What did you use for the sea in them? I'm so sorry you had to go through this. I have had my house catch fire but got it put out by the time the Fire department arrived. My family was screaming at me to get out but I just couldn't run outside and let the fire grow and spread while waiting for them.
  6. ???My computer isn't showing the pictures???

  11. It is sad news to me too. Although I haven't started a SIB in a while (because I am building a Syren kit) I do check in every day. I have learned a lot from others here. Being a smaller group it is less formal and more friendly than places like MSW can be at times. If I wasn't disabled and lost my career I would help pay to keep things running. I will miss it if we close down. Jesse
